Hyperbaric medicine

Hyperbaric oxygen therapy is a medical treatment that uses 100 percent oxygen administered in a pressurized chamber. This treatment provides several benefits to patients and is used to increase oxygen in hypoxic tissues, stimulate new blood vessel growth, decrease inflammation, fight infection and recruit new stem cells to promote healing of wounded tissues. Under the direction of our hyperbaric trained physicians, Spectrum Health offers three monoplace chambers, 24/7 service, and handles scheduled and emergent patient care needs.
