Virtual Primary Care is all virtual, no road trips! You can have care that fits your schedule from anywhere in Michigan. The park, work, mitten vacation or home you can see your virtual primary care provider.

What is virtual primary care?

Just like other Corewell Health Primary Care, except all virtual. We use labs and screening which tells us more than any physical tests about what is happening with your body. We develop a plan for you with lifestyle, nutrition and more to help get, and keep, you healthier. If you need to see a specialist, we will refer you to the right specialist.

Conditions like Diabetes, COPD and high blood pressure require more check ins which can be time consuming. We offer a full range of help from identifying early to managing existing conditions, with the ease of no road trips.

Who is virtual primary care for?

18+ and older. Those that are fairly healthy to those managing ongoing conditions such as high blood and diabetes. When you contact us, we will discuss your health and goals to determine if this is right for you.

When should I use virtual primary care?

Anytime you want to talk to a doctor about a non-emergent medical need, or health and wellness concern or goal. Our providers are here for you and focused on building a long-term relationship, and getting to know you on a deeper level to address your health needs with customized care plans.

What about things that can’t be done virtually, like labs, imaging or vaccinations?

We’ll help assist you in finding an in-network laboratory or facility of your choice, and your virtual primary care provider will follow up to talk about the results and any next steps.

What if I need to see my doctor right away?

Contact your virtual primary care provider during regular business hours (Monday-Thursday: 7am to 7pm, Friday: 7am to 5pm). You can also message your provider 24/7. You’ll get a response within 1-2 days. For needs after hours, you have access to our on-demand virtual urgent care 24/7.

What if I need to see a specialist?

Your virtual primary care provider can make referrals to specialists as needed and connect you to virtual specialty consults. All of our specialists offer virtual appointments as well.

What is the visit fee/co-pay?

Visit fees are similar to what you would expect for an in-person appointment with a provider. Talk to your insurance company about your co-pay and other potential out-of-pocket costs.

What if I don’t like virtual primary care?

While we know you will love as much as our patients profess, we understand it is new and different. We encourage you to have your first appointment, and if you decide it's not for you, we will connect you with our contact center or Find A Doctor to select a new provider.

What insurance is accepted?

We accept Priority Health, BCBS PPO and BCBS Federal PPO. Unfortunately, we are not able to accept Medicare or Medicaid plans.
